"To laugh often and much; to win the
respect of intelligent people and affection
of children; to earn the appreciation
of honest critics and endure the betrayal of
false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find
the best in others; to leave the world a bit
better, whether by a healthy child, a
garden patch or a redeemed social
condition; to know even one life has
breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have Succeeded."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Forever is composed of nows."

My name is Sharon Mistretta
and I would like to welcome you to
my website.
I have developed technology based
lessons which enable teachers to implement the constructivist
teaching approach.
The constructivist approach to teaching provides our students with the opportunity
to build on their personal knowledge
and life experiences.
Through the use of technology,
teachers can provide guided instruction
in their classrooms and allow their students to explore, learn and retain new knowledge.

I developed this site using Dreamweaver 8.
An Introduction to Podcasting
My students duplicate this podcast using iMovie. Additionally, I have collaborated with my colleagues to create math and language arts podcasts.
